A third Central Coast Big Aussie BBQ will take place to raise greater awareness of prostate cancer among men on Wednesday May 20 from 12 PM.
This event is organised by Dr Gordon Reid MP in partnership with the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and Bayer.
The event will include a free lunch and presentations by representatives from the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australian and Dr Reid.
The last years’ successful events have had nearly 150 attendees at each event taking place at Davistown RSL and Gosford RSL.
Quotes attributable to Federal Member for Robertson, Dr Gordon Reid MP:
“It is vitally important that men particularly those over the age of 40 get a prostate check, these days it is as easy as a blood test.
“In Australia, 26,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year, making the disease our nation’s most diagnosed cancer.
“This free lunch and presentation are all about raising greater awareness of the disease and informing people that there are supports available, plus lots of useful information.
“I encourage men in our community to come along, share a meal, and learn more about how they can safeguard their health”, Dr Reid said.
The third Central Coast Big Aussie BBQ will take place at Davistown RSL on Wednesday May 20, 2026, and commence from 12 PM and finish at 2 PM.
Please be advised this event has limited capacity, register as soon as possible to secure your seat.
