Federal Member for Robertson, Dr Gordon Reid MP, has welcomed several local Australia Day Honours recipients to a special morning tea to celebrate their national recognition and contributions to our community.
The morning tea was an opportunity to meet each of the recipients, learn more about their work, and to thank them on behalf of the community for their selfless services.
Quotes attributable to Federal Member for Robertson, Dr Gordon Reid MP:
“It is an honour to recognise our local Australia Day Honours recipients as the Federal Member for Robertson.
“It is one of the many highlights of my role, to shine a light on those people in our community who have been recognised in our nation’s honours system.
“On behalf of the Central Coast, I thank each of the recipients for all their contributions in our community, and for their dedication to strengthening the fabric of our nation.
“I look forward to continuing to meet with and to learn more about other community leaders who continue to help build our nation every day.”
The Australian honours system recognises the outstanding service and contributions of Australians.
Recipients come from right across the country and from all walks of life. While some are well-known, the majority are unsung heroes. While typically they haven’t sought thanks or recognition, they deserve both.
The Australian honours system gives the nation a chance to celebrate and acknowledge those who work tirelessly to improve local communities and to make Australia a better place.
The morning tea was held on Friday April 17, 2026, and attendees included:
Dr Thomas Tseng AM – Member of the Order of Australia.
Commander Nicholas Doyle OAM (Mil) RAN – Medal of the Order of Australia (Mil).
Captain Aaron Cox CSC RAN – Conspicuous Service Cross.
